You’ll begin your Venetian adventure in style when a private water taxi meets you at Marco Polo airport to transport you across the lagoon and through fabled canals to our historic four-star hotel, ideally located only a fifteen-minute walk from Piazza San Marco.
You’ll settle in and meet your fellow Sojourners at an orientation reception in the hotel’s lovely inner courtyard, followed by a grand welcome dinner of Venetian specialties at one of our favorite upscale trattorias.
Spend the rest of the week plein air painting and browsing the Biennale with your new friends. You can tour the Basilica San Marco, and go sightseeing on the outer islands, or just kick back over cicchetti and a glass of prosecco at the local bacari… the choice is yours!
With us you’ll have time to savor Venice at your own pace, while a lively discussion awaits you every evening at our group “show and tell” where we share our artwork and travel experiences in a fun and supportive environment.

Travel Coordination and Orientation
Detailed travel instructions will be sent to each participant to insure they arrive and depart at times coordinating with our charter transportation connection. Applicants are responsible for securing their own transportation to and from their home and Marco Polo Airport in Venice, Italy in time to meet our water taxis. No refunds are given for missed connections.
US departure should be on June 9 for next day arrival in Italy. Most airline tickets are non-refundable once issued, so it is essential that each applicant wait until they have received their confirmation and instructions before booking flights.
When we receive your application and deposit we will send a complete pre-trip orientation package to help you prepare. Our Sojourn will begin with an in-country orientation session as well.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to guard against a possible loss in case of cancellation or withdrawal from the trip for some unforeseen reason. Please see our cancellation policy below.
Hotel Giorgione is a fine four-star establishment with full modern conveniences including air conditioning, TV, and private baths with hairdryers.
Cost of the Arts Sojourn*
ARTS SOJOURN IN VENICE STANDARD PRICE: $2,695 — per person sharing a double Classic room
WITH SINGLE ROOM SUPPLEMENT: $3,085 — total trip cost
A limited number of single rooms are available on a first come basis. It is strongly suggested that you register early if you desire a single room. For those traveling alone who wish to share a double room, we will try our best to pair you with a compatible traveler of the same gender. If this is not possible you will have the option of paying the additional surcharge for a single (if available) or you may decline to participate and receive a full refund of your deposit.
WITH ELEGANCE ROOM SUPPLEMENT: $2,795 — total trip cost, per person sharing upgraded Elegance room
*Please note that these prices are based on the exchange rate as of June 2016. Although no increase is anticipated, due to the current volatility in the international exchange rate Arts Sojourn reserves the right to add an appropriate surcharge to cover additional costs should the value of the US dollar drop appreciably prior to our departure.

Confirmation and Pre-Trip Orientation
Confirmation and comprehensive trip information will be emailed within two weeks of receipt of your deposit.
Cancellations and Refunds
Notice of cancellation must be made in writing. The following scale of charges will apply after cancellation notice is received:
- All deposits are non-refundable.
- Between 60 days and 30 days prior to departure there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the total price of the trip.
- Less than 30 days prior to departure the cancellation fee is 100% of the total price.
We must be firm in our cancellation policy. It is highly recommended that applicants purchase travel insurance to guard against possible loss. In the unlikely event that we must cancel an Arts Sojourn we will issue you a full refund of all funds paid to us, including your deposit.
Each person is strictly limited to one suitcase and one carry on (art supplies included). No exceptions. Please travel light and be certain that you are capable of handling your own luggage. All baggage and personal effects are at all times and in all circumstances at the risk of the participant.

- Hotel accommodations for 7 nights: prices per person are based on two persons sharing a Classic double room with private bath. Surcharges apply if a single room or upgraded Elegance room is requested
